Rustman is not for the faint of heart! Modelled after the infamous Ironman challenge but adapted for participants with a few more miles on their legs, the Rustman challenge commands respect, perseverance, and an unparalleled level of endurance from those bold enough to take it on.
Raising vital funds for RNLI, whose volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, and its lifeguards keep us safe on our beaches, the inaugural Rustman took place in 2019 and since then has gone on to raise thousands of pounds.
Starting in New Brighton Rustman is the ultimate endurance challenge for friends ready to push their limits together. This epic day-long adventure from New Brighton to Holyhead combines swimming, running, and cycling, demanding both fitness and determination. Participants will face the notorious waters of the Dee Estuary, Menai Strait, and Cymyran Strait—each known for strong currents and tough conditions. It’s a test of resilience, teamwork, and bravery—perfect for those who thrive on adventure and are willing to embrace the risks for an unforgettable experience!
